About

Xu is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at Florida International University (FIU), co-advised by Dr. Dongsheng Luo and Dr. Mo Sha. His research areas are AI4Science, XAI, LLM Agents, Time Series Learning, and Graph Modeling. He received his B.E. in Electronic Science and Technology from Chongqing University (CQU) in 2018, and his M.E. in Control Science and Engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in 2021, where his supervisor was Dr. Yali Zheng and his research topic was human mesh recovery.

He expects to complete his Ph.D. in Summer 2027 and is on the 2026–2027 job market for faculty, research scientist, and applied scientist positions. His CV is available here.
